Traffic Stop Results in Several Charges

On the 27th of June 2020 at approximately 7:20 am. Officer while on general patrol in the area of Talbot Line and Springfield Rd. observed a 2005 Cadillac travelling eastbound on Talbot Line at high rate of speed. The officer using moving radar clocked the vehicle in at 119 km/hr in posted 80km/hr zone. The officer activated the emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The driver failed to immediately stop and continued to travel eastbound on Talbot Line. The officer observed the driver swerving on the roadway and travelling in west bound lane causing other motorists to take evasive action. Driver eventually pulled into a private driveway off Talbot Line. 36-year-old male from Aylmer was spoken to. While speaking to the driver officer noted an open bottle of liquor inside the vehicle. As a result of the traffic stop, male was charged with;

  • Drive under suspension X 3
  • Speeding
  • Flight from Police
  • Dangerous Driving
  • Care and control of motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor
