Traffic stop results in Obstruct police charge

On 18th of July 2020 at approximately 11:45 am., Aylmer officer was conducting speed and traffic enforcement in the area of Talbot St. East, in the Town of Aylmer. Officer observed a 2014 Nissan Sentra travelling eastbound on Talbot St. East at a high rate of speed, appearing to be in excess of the posted 50 km/hr limit. The vehicle was clocked in at 78 km/hr in posted 50 km/hr. zone. 34-year-old female from London was spoken to and identified herself verbally to the officer. Further investigation revealed that the female gave a false name. As a result, she was charged with;

  • Speeding
  • Driving under suspension
  • Obstruct police officer
