Theft of trailers

On Monday, February 1, 2021, at 08:26 am., Aylmer Police responded to a theft of four trailers complaint at a local business off Chipchase Court Aylmer ON. Police investigation revealed that throughout the night on 31st of January 2021 between 12:28 am., and 3:58 am., four loaded trailers had been stolen from the business. A tractor-trailer was used to haul the trailers.

Stolen trailers included;

2012 East trailer and a 2015 Wilson trailer each contained approximately $750,000 worth of structural bridge steel for floor beams.

2005 Lode-King PAC-48 trailer and 2007 Lode-King each contained approximately $50,000 worth of steel.

Aylmer Police with the assistance of St. Thomas Police Service and Elgin County OPP continued with the investigation and at 5:27., pm. the four trailers with the contents attached were recovered in St. Thomas at the old Ford factory off Sunset Drive.

Additionally, 53 foot, 2017 white trailer loaded with Shipping racks and an Ottaway Express trailer loaded with General Motors parts stolen from Aylmer on the 31st of January 2021, were recovered with contents still intact in the area of South Edgeware Rd. and Progress Dr. St. Thomas.
