Suspicious Vehicle Call Results in 3-Day Suspension

On the 2nd of November 2019 at 6:51 am, Aylmer Police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot off Spruce Street East Aylmer ON. Officer located a 2003 Lexus with a male and female occupant found inside the vehicle. Police observed several containers of alcohol on the floor of the car around the area of two occupants. 22-year-old male from Burgessville was in care and control of the motor vehicle and noted to have a strong odour of alcoholic beverage on his breath. As a result, a roadside demand was given resulting in a “Warn” reading. As a result, he was issued a 3-day licence suspension. In addition, he was charged with having alcohol in other than licensed premises contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act. 18-year-old female from Langton was also charged with having alcohol in other than licensed premises.
