The officer activated the mobile radar unit on the cruiser and obtained a speed reading of 152 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A traffic stop was initiated on a 2018 Subaru which was being operated by a 27 yr old male from Quebec. The male was issued with a Part 3 summons to appear in traffic court to answer to the charge of Race a motor vehicle – excessive speed. The males drivers licence was suspended immediately for 7 days and the vehicle has been impounded for a period of 14 days. The male is scheduled to appear in St. Thomas court later in September.
