On the 15th of April 2020 at approximately 7:00 am, officer on patrol was conducting radar enforcement in the area of Talbot St. and Elm St. Aylmer ON. Officer clocked a 2009 Chev Silverado pick up exceeding the speed limit. As a result, officer activated emergency lights and siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle. Driver failed to stop and continued traveling on Elm St. He eventually stopped on Forest St. when he pulled into a private driveway. Officer spoke to the driver and investigation revealed that the vehicle was not insured. Further, male was a suspended driver and he had in his possession a small quantity of marijuana. As a result, 53-year-old male from St. Thomas was charged with;
- Failing to stop for police
- Operate motor vehicle without insurance
- Driving under suspension
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available.
