Speeding leads to multiple charges

On Saturday, May 16th, 2020 at approximately 07:24 am, an Aylmer Police officer was conducting stationary speed enforcement on John St. N.  A Dodge Caravan Dodge Ram was observed travelling south on John St. N was timed on radar travelling 26 km/h above the posted speed limit of 50km/h.  A traffic stop was initiated, and further investigation determined that the male driver, a 42-year-old male from Malahide was a suspended driver.  This male’s licence has been suspended since 2016.  As a result, the male has been charged with Speeding 76km/h in a posted 50km/h zone, contrary to s.128 of the Highway Traffic Act, driving while under suspension, contrary to s.53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, and Drive no Licence contrary to s. 32(1) of the Highway Traffic.  The male was issued summons’ to attend Provincial Offences Court later in August.
