On Sunday, May 17th, at 1:46pm, officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a 1989 Toyota Truck.  The plates on the truck returned as unattached after a query on the police mobile work station within the cruiser.  Investigation determined that there was no valid contract of insurance on the motor vehicle.  As a result, a 21-year-old male from Clinton has been summonsed to Provincial Offences Court for the offence of Owner operate motor vehicle with no contract of insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, and Driver Motor Vehicle with plates not authorized, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
