On the 3rd of February 2022 at 7:27 pm., Aylmer Police observed a 2013 Hyundai Elantra motor vehicle, being operated on Talbot St. West Aylmer ON., without headlights or tail lights on. Officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to 28 year old male from St. Thomas. Officer detected an odour of alcoholic beverage on driver’s breath and an odour of burning cannabis. Roadside screening test was administered resulting in a “fail” reading. Further tests at the station revealed readings above legal limit. As a result, driver was charged with;

1) Operation While Impaired
2) Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
3) Drive vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available
4) Drive motor vehicle with liquor ready available
