On Monday, at 7:47pm, an Aylmer officer stopped a motor vehicle on Talbot Line for traveling 121 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.  After further investigation it was determined the driver had consumed alcohol sometime prior to the traffic stop.  A roadside breath test was conducted registering a Fail. A 31-year-old male from Eden was taken into custody and breath samples at the station determined his blood alcohol concentration was two times the legal limit.  In addition, a small quantity of marijuana was located in the vehicle.  The male was released from custody and will appear in St. Thomas Court in July to answer to the charges of Operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration 80 plus, Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available, and speeding 121 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.  The vehicle was impounded for (7) days and the male licence has been suspended for 90 days.
