Fail to Remain at Crash

The Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Furnival Road near Downie Line on February 6, 2020 around 11:00 p.m.

A pickup truck left the roadway and struck a hydro poll. The driver then left the scene.

OPP officers were able to locate the driver at a nearby residence.

A 31-year-old Rodney, Ontario resident has been charged with:

  • Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
  • Fail to remain

The driver was arrested without incident and later released with a future court date at the Ontario Court of Justice St. Thomas.
