On 16th of June 2019 at approximately 03:05 am. Aylmer Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Talbot St. West Aylmer ON. The vehicle was stopped for a Highway Traffic Act offence. Officer spoke to the four occupants. Investigation revealed that a 24 year old female from Aylmer was operating a motor vehicle without a licence. A strong odour of marijuana was detected inside the vehicle and subsequent search resulted in a seizure of 174.8 grams of marijuana that was concealed inside a backpack and belonging to a 22 year old male passenger from Aylmer. The male was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was bound by a probation order with a condition of not to consume alcohol. As a result, he was arrested and held for a bail hearing. He has been charged with failing to comply with a probation order, Possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis. While lodged in the police cells, male caused damage to the cells resulting in further charge of Mischief Under $5000.00.
