On the 18th of November at approximately 9:50 pm, Aylmer officer was on general patrol in the area of Myrtle Street and Talbot Street West. Officer observed a Ford Fusion parked off Myrtle Street at the Kinsmen Park parking lot with the vehicle running and the lights on. At approximately 9:55 pm. The officer observed the vehicle pull onto Myrtle Street and turn onto Chestnut Street where the vehicle was stopped. While speaking to the 27-year-old male driver from Aylmer, officer detected an odour of fresh marijuana inside the vehicle. Officer also observed a glass water pipe commonly used for smoking marijuana on the driver seat beside the driver. Search of the vehicle resulted in seizure of cannabis. As a result, male driver was charged under section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act for having care or control of a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.
