Driving Complaint Results in Several Charges

On the 20th of June 2021 at approximately 4:30 pm., Aylmer Police Service was notified by Elgin County OPP of an erratic vehicle travelling northbound on Imperial Road from Vienna Line in Malahide Township. Aylmer Police observed for, located the involved 2008 Chev pick up in the area of Imperial Road and Conservation Line, and proceeded to stop the vehicle. Officer spoke to a 39-year-old male driver from Port Burwell. Police investigation revealed that the male was under suspension and that the vehicle was not insured. Further, the male was on a recognizance and was in contravention of his conditions. As a result, he was charged with;

  • Operate motor vehicle – no insurance
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Breach of Recognizance
