In connection with the fire on board a commercial fishing vessel on Saturday August 22nd, 2020, Elgin County OPP has charged 19 year old Port Stanely resident Seth LUMLEY with;

  1. Arson contrary to section 434 of the Criminal Code.

LUMLEY has since been released from custody on a Form 10- Undertaking with a future court date of October 6th, 2020.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking that anyone with information regarding the fire or whom may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of the commercial fishing vessel prior to the fire or shortly there after and haven’t already spoke to police are asked to call the Elgin County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
