On the 14th of January 2020 at 12:35 pm. Aylmer police responded to vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at the intersection of John Street and Talbot Street Aylmer ON. A 2006 Chevy being driven by a 71-year-old male from Aylmer was West Bound on Talbot St. turning left on to John St. An 18-year-old female pedestrian from Aylmer was crossing the intersection and had the right of way when she was struck by the vehicle. Force of impact knocked her to the ground. She received injuries that required hospitalization. Driver of the Chev. was charged with Failing to Yield to Pedestrian contrary to section 144(7) of the Highway Traffic Act.

Later that day, Aylmer police responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Talbot St E. and Elk St. Aylmer ON. A 2017 Dodge Caravan being driven by a 41-year-old female from Aylmer was East Bound on Elk St. and stopped for the posted stop sign. At the intersection of Talbot St. E., a 2010 Volkswagen driven by a 56-year-old male from Aylmer was travelling North/West on Talbot St. with intentions of turning West Bound on Elk St. The female driver turned left before the way was clear and T–boned the Volkswagen. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Male was transported to St. Thomas Hospital as a precaution. Female driver was charged with Turn – not in safety contrary to section 142(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
