“AYLMER POLICE REPORT:”

-An 18-year old Aylmer female was charged with two counts of breach of her probation after being stopped by Police around 3am Saturday. The girl had been charged with offences ie. mischief in August by Lambton OPP and bail conditions included abstaining from alcohol and notifying police of any change in address – both of which were violated.
-Two RIDE programs conducted by Aylmer Police on Saturday checked nearly 350 drivers with no charges being laid.
-Recently in Elgin Court, a 43-year old Aylmer man was given 90 days to dispose of his six weapons or forfeit them to the Crown. A Police check at his residence in June found that his possession permits had expired and he was charged.

AYLMER/MALAHIDE COUNCILS:

-At AYLMER Council yesterday, town staff was directed to get particulars on replacing the 40-year old Swimming Pool Bathhouse – built as a Centennial project – with plans to have it ready for this summer’s swim season.
-At MALAHIDE COUNCIL Thursday, Council accepted the quotation submitted by Erie Draglines to provide Ice Breaking Services in Port Bruce from January 1 to December 31, 2011 with the dragline remaining on-site in Port Bruce from January 15 to March 15, 2011, at a cost of $3,000.00 per month plus $2,500.00 move in and rigging costs (plus applicable taxes).
-MALAHIDE Council also accepted, as did Aylmer last week, the tender of 2cG to conduct a Waste Management Study in 2011.
