BAYHAM FIRE REPORT

-Nov 24, station 2 Straffordville, medical assist on Plank Rd

-Nov 25, station 1 Port Burwell, medical assist on Fulton St. in Vienna

-Nov 25, both stations for a possible brush fire on McQuiggan Line.

-Nov 26, station 1 Port Burwell, medical assist on Wellington.

 

 

OBITUARIES:

 

-Speed, Andrew Billy Letson of Aylmer passed away on November 7 age 35. Survivors: parents Terry Speed (Debra) (Labadie) of Aylmer etc.. He traveled southwestern Ontario with the Derek Drover Band. As a missionary, Andrew made three mission trips to China and worked at Northstar Windows and Doors. Arrangements with McKinlay Funeral Home Ridgetown.

 

-Hill, Eva Ilona passed away on November 19 at the age of 86. Wife of the late John R. Hill (1999). Survivors: two children etc.. She was a former member at the Aylmer Curling Club, Aylmer Lawn Bowling Club and Pleasant Valley Golf Club.

 

-Broer, Edward of Aylmer passed away Saturday in his 79th year. Survivors: wife Thea Broer; four children including Leo Broer(Lori) and Monique Walker(Rick), both of Aylmer etc… He was born in the Netherlands. Visitation at the HA Kebbel Funeral Home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 11 am.

 

-Danbrook, (Brackenbury) Mary Louise of Aylmer passed away at Terrace Lodge on Sunday in her 96th year. Wife of the late Keith Danbrook. Survivors: seven children including Tom Danbrook (Ruth) of Aylmer; 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren etc.. She was born in Port Burwell. Visitation at the HA Kebbel Funeral Home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm with the funeral service held there on Thursday at 11 am.

 

 

SENIORS DAY OUT TUES. AT EECC

 

(Contributed) – The monthly Seniors Day Out program at the EEC Complex will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 9:30 am to 12:30. The program includes: recreational activities (choice of adult skate, shuffleboard, pickleball or a fitness class) and guest speaker Sonya Janisse on “The Importance of Exercise and Fall Prevention”. The cost is $10, lunch is provided and registration in advance is required.

 

 

VIENNA TRAILER PARK BREAK-IN

 

(Contributed) – The Elgin OPP continues to investigate a rash of break-ins at the Twin Oaks Campground located in Vienna. Sometime between November 11 and November 19 unknown suspect(s) gained entry into numerous camping trailers and sheds on the property. Items stolen include: electronics, bicycles, household items like towels, pillows, and cutlery etc..

 

 

SPITS BLITZED

 

MT BRYDGES – The Aylmer Spitfires were defeated 7-1 here Friday in Provincial Junior C hockey. The Spitfires now have 6 wins and 14 losses in the nine team league. Aylmer actually tied the game early at 1-1 but Mt. Brydges held a 4-1 edge by the end of the first period. Sebastian Nogueira snared the only marker for the Spits.  Next games are Friday in Dorchester and Saturday hosting Exeter.
