“AYLMER’s NEWEST PARKING SPACES?”

This transport truck was spotted parked in the middle lane -facing east - in front of Wiebe's Wheels at Aylmer's west end yesterday morning. The driver got out and went and looked at a truck in the car lot and then went inside the office - gone about 5 minutes. Police charged a truck driver earlier this month for similar actions. (CLICK)

“A READER WRITES:”

“WOW!!..Just received my phone bill. As expected i am charged double. I also noticed in the box stating * previous balance* it is more than what my last months bill actually was. I got out my phone bill from June and read what i owed, checked to see what i had paid and it works out by my calculation. Not sure where Eastlink got their figures from. There are people on budgets, welfare, single mothers and fixed incomes. Those of us who were unfortunate and lost their job to this wonderful economy, now Eastlink expects us to pay for what? Their trucks being repainted to now advertise Eastlink? The commercials i see on tv? To me this was bad timing on Eastlinks part. I refuse to pay this amount and i WILL go elsewhere to get the same services. Get rid of house phone, just use my cell, get rid of cable, use satellite, get rid of internet, go wireless. I hope others agree with me at how outrageous this is and voice their opinions as well.” (Kelly Rapelje)
