-MARGARET (PEG) VANPATTER;  of R5 Aylmer;  on July 17;  in her 96th year;  Survivors include: sister-in-law Brownie Appleyard of Aylmer;  wife of the late Jack VanPatter of VanPatter Appliances;  Cremation has taken place.  A service will be held at Kebbel Funeral Home on July 28 at 3 pm. Visitation one hour before.

-SANDRA CHAMBERLAIN;  of St.Thomas;  in her 62nd year;  on July 17;  Mother of Scot (Kim) Edwards and Marcy Edwards (and Rick Heffern) of Aylmer;  Visitation Monday 7-9 pm at Kebbels Funeral Home;  Funeral at Kebbels on Tuesday at 11 am.

-BETTY SLAGHT;  formerly of Aylmer; in her 73rd year;  on July 17;  Mother of Darryl (Carletta) of Aylmer;  Funeral Thursday at Kebbels at 7:30 pm.

“MALAHIDE MALE GETS 2 YEARS* FOR ROBBERIES”

(AYLMER) -  Ty Miller, 18, of Malahide was given several concurrent sentences – totalling 2 years less a day – in an Ontario prison for robbing Shoppers Drug Mart this winter.  He robbed the store of Oxycontin on November 27 and again on January 25 – this time disguised as a female – and was caught by Police a week later while trying to traffic the drug. In Elgin Court recently he was given 2 years less a day concurrently for each of the robberies and the traffickking charges, plus 2 years probabtion.
