“The present warehouse is just east of Memorial Parkway on Catherine St., Dorchester. We hope to combine both businesses into one modern centralized building in Trafalgar Industrial Park at the corner of Sovereign and Swiftsure Court. We plan to sell dairy, ice cream and ice products in London and in all surrounding communities from that location. We hope to double our business by having a more modern facility. This will allow us to produce more ice, and have room to inventory more products more efficiently while being centralized to a larger and steadily growing population.
Roughly 45 years ago my father purchased the business from Glovers Dairy. We just produced milk back then. When I took over we stopped producing milk and started ice production along with milk and ice cream distribution. The new plaza (in Aylmer) came about 22 years ago. We upgraded ice production about 10 years ago and opened the London Quality building about 7 years ago with son Mark helping to run it. Son Mike is working in Aylmer in the ice and ice cream business and oversees our investments in Studer holdings. My wife Shiela oversees our offices. As you can see we need an updated facility in one location.”
